Help us reclaim PAYE paid on donations.

If you made donations amounting to €250 or more in 2008 and you are a PAYE taxpayer, we ( as a registered Charity) could reclaim the income tax you paid on the amount. If you are self - assessed or a company and your donation to our Church was €250 or more in 2008 you can claim tax relief on your donation The procedure is very simple. Just ask us for a special Revenue form, fill in your P.P.S. number, indicate your rate of tax, sign the form, and return it to us. We fill in the amount of your annual donations and post the form to the Revenue, who will refund us the tax. It cost you nothing. Self - assessed taxpayers can ask us for a receipt and reclaim the tax themselves. (Revenue Forms will be available at the Parish Office)

Reflection for the Day

We like to think that if something went wrong, we'd get a second chance. A mistake in a job, a misjudgement in work, a letdown in love, and we hope we would not be written off for it. Or in things we do that are mean and wrong, like children stealing something in the kitchen or telling lies, we hope we are not totally judged for faults and mishaps. Jesus is the one who always sees that a person can change, do better, act differently the next time. There’s always another chance and a next time with Jesus. As he has done for us, he asks us to do for each other. Donal Neary SJ

The violence, deprivation and suffering in Darfur continues unabated. Conflict in the region has meant around 300,000 people may have died, forced nearly 2.7 million people from their homes, and left over 4 million people dependent on humanitarian food aid. Over the last three years, Trócaire has spent over €1 .6 million meeting the needs of people forced form their homes by the conflict. Trócaire is also providing support to communities hosting those who have lost their homes. Working in a joint programme with other international faith - based agencies. Trócaire provides life saving support to over 40,000 families.
