On the 20th October,2007 We will be welcoming Fr. Gabriel Barros, into our Parish of Bunclody /Kilmyshall

My name is Gabriel Barros. I was born in San Luis, Argentina, on 29th April 1975, and I am the youngest of four brothers. I did my elementary school in the city of San Luis, and on the 5th February, 1989, I went to the Minor Seminary of the Incarnate Word, in San Rafael about 250kms south of San Luis, where I did my High School, the Novitiate (1993) and the Major Seminary (1994 - 1999). On 31st may 1999 I was professed as a religious of the Institute of the Incarnate Word.

At the beginning of the year 2000, I was sent to study in Rome where I got the Degree in Biblical Studies. During this period I was ordained deacon in Italy (24th May 2001) and on 9th August 2001, I was ordained a Priest in La Plata (Argentina). After that I continued my studies in Scripture in Jerusalem and then in Rome until February 2005. During that time I worked in our House of Formation in Italy and then since August 2004 as assistant to the General Secretary in Rome. During all those years I was also teaching Scripture in our House of Formation. At the end of July 2007 I was assigned to Kilmyshall, Co. Wexford, Ireland.

You don’t need any special teaching skills as training will be given to the volunteers. The meetings can be arranged to suit the volunteers, either mornings, afternoons or evenings.
