At Our Lady’s Island August 29th at 7 p.m.

This festival has been organised by some of the young pilgrims who went to the World Youth Day, in conjunction with some members of WYD committee. The evening will commence with Mass celebrated by Bishop Denis, after which there will be a candlelight procession around the island with our WYD Cross. This will then be followed by a free Christian rock concert by a very good band called "Elation". A barbecue will take place during the concert. It promises to be a very enjoyable evening for young adults and teenagers.

If any group, club or individual needs more information or wants to help, please contact Sr. Helen in Bishop’s House or Fr. Jim Doyle on 053 9377264.

We thank you in advance for your support, co-operation and prayers for the success of this event.

A Prayer to Our Lady of the Island

Lady of the island, Mary, Mother of God.
We come to you giving thanks and praise.
When you listened to the angel and received the Spirit,
You showed us how to have faith and courage.
Be with us now, intercede for us with Jesus, and
He will answer our prayers, perform the miracle if you ask.
Bless and heal our lives and grant us our daily needs.
Amen
