Church Gate Collection on 25th / 26th July

..in aid of SELF HELP Africa .The funds raised each year are invested in cost effective ways to continue the implementations of their development programmes amongst some of Africa’s poorest communities.

Kilmyshall Field Day

Kilmyshall Parish Representative.

Currently the Diocese of Ferns has parish representatives working in all parishes and curacies. Marguerita Courtney has agreed to act as parish representative for Kilmyshall. This weekend Marguerita will be commissioned to such a ministry for a three year term ending in September 2012. Her main task will be to ensure that good child protection practices prevail in our parish, in accordance with the practices and procedures laid down in the Church’s most recent guidelines Safeguarding Children. We welcome Marguerita to this parish ministry and assure her of our support. Her responsibilities will be:

• To promote awareness of the Church’s Child Protection policies
• To ensure that the public has ready access to contact details for the Director of Child Protection
• To facilitate anyone in the parish in bringing an allegation or suspicion of child abuse to the attention of the Director of Child Protection, should they wish to have such support.

In Memory of our Children - A Service for Bereaved Family and Friends

Compassionate Friends are holding a service for families in which a child ( any age) has died. The Service will take place in the Parish Church, New Ross on Sunday 19th July at 3.00 p.m. Tea & Coffee afterwards in the Pastoral Centre next door. ALL ARE WELCOME. Contact 086 3822624

Bunclody Horticultural Society

..are sponsoring a fundraiser in aid of Aid of Cystic Fibrosis on Sunday 19th. July from 2.30pm to 5.00pm. in Rita & Eamon Butler’s Garden Knocknanure. Tea and Coffee will be served. Admission €5.00.

Fundraiser in aid of St. Luke’s Hospital, Rathgar.

.. which was held in Supervalue, Bunclody. Lines were sold for contents of a trolley of shopping. The amount raised was €1,200. Winner: was Mary Ryan, Graiguemore. A special thank you to all who bought lines and contributed.

Fundraiser :

Bunclody Swimming Pool are hosting a Wine Tasting Evening on Wednesday 22nd. July at 8.00p.m. in Biá Álainn. Admission €10.00. Door Prizes and raffle. Tickets available from Committee members, at the swimming pool and at Biá Álainn.

HWH GAA Club .

Final Mass of Fr. Harold

.. and also the inauguration of the Novena of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary will take place on Sunday 19th July at 7.30 p.m. in the Church of St Mary Magdalene Kilmyshall Mass will be concelebrated by Bishop Denis Brennan.

A Sincere ‘Thank You’ to Fr. Harold for his contribution to our Parish in the last 2 years.We wish him well in Berlin.
