Help us reclaim PAYE paid on donations.

If you made donations amounting to €250 or more in 2008 and you are a PAYE taxpayer, we ( as a registered Charity) could reclaim the income tax you paid on the amount. If you are self - assessed or a company and your donation to our Church was €250 or more in 2008 you can claim tax relief on your donation

The procedure is very simple. Just ask us for a special Revenue form, fill in your P.P.S. number, indicate your rate of tax, sign the form, and return it to us. We fill in the amount of your annual donations and post the form to the Revenue, who will refund us the tax. It cost you nothing. Self - assessed taxpayers can ask us for a receipt and reclaim the tax themselves. Revenue Forms will be available at the Parish Office)

Trocaire

Thank you for your continuing support.

In this Sunday’s gospel we meet an angry Jesus. Sometimes it can be good to pause with the following questions; what today in our world would make God of love and compassion angry? Columbia is perhaps just one place on our planet where there is a tremendous amount of unnecessary suffering and hardship. It is one of the world’s worst humanitarian ‘hotspots’. More than four decades of conflict have forced about three million people from their homes in the countryside and left thousands more dead or injured. Perhaps the pain of the people living here causes God to feel angry. In response to this suffering, Trócaire is committed to improving life for those caught up in the crossfire, by supplying basic emergency assistance such as food, water and shelter. Trócaire is also helping communities to campaign for their human rights and for peace and is helping them back on their feet with small agricultural and animal projects.

Reflection

Today we ask you Lord, for peace throughout the world and in our own land. Give your consolation and companionship to all who have suffered through violence and never let your peace workers lose hope. We pray this through the intercession of St. Patrick. Amen
