Trócaire’s Lenten campaign

..this year is about 26 million of our brothers & sisters worldwide who have been forced to abandon their homes because of armed conflict and violence. People such as Khalid and his family, who appear on this year’s Trócaire box , are forced from their homes in terrifying circumstances, losing their land, their livelihoods, and often even their own family members. As Christians , we are challenged this Lent to open our eyes to the pain of these displaced peoples. One way of helping our suffering brothers and sisters is by supporting Trócaire’s Lenten campaign this year or doing the 24 Hour Faston 6th/7th March .

Help us reclaim PAYE paid on donations.

If you made donations amounting to €250 or more in 2008 and you are a PAYE taxpayer, we ( as a registered Charity) could reclaim the income tax you paid on the amount. If you are self - assessed or a company and your donation to our Church was €250 or more in 2008 you can claim tax relief on your donation

The procedure is very simple. Just ask us for a special Revenue form, fill in your P.P.S. number, indicate your rate of tax, sign the form, and return it to us. We fill in the amount of your annual donations and post the form to the Revenue, who will refund us the tax. It cost you nothing. Self - assessed taxpayers can ask us for a receipt and reclaim the tax themselves. (Revenue Forms will be available at the Parish Office)

Reflection for the Day

We do not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. We do not live on friendship alone but on the love that comes from the heart of God. We do not live on ambition alone but on every desire that comes from the heart of God: Lord Jesus, make our hearts like yours. We do not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. We do not live on wealth alone but on the richness that lives in the heart of God. We do not live on honour alone but on the love that is for each in the word of God. Lord Jesus, make our hearts like yours.
